I've been out a lot this spring. Seldom have I been able to observe so closely how the landscape and the flora change within a few days. On this day I actually wanted to take pictures of "wild garlic" or wild garlic in bloom. However, I was too early for that. Large carpets with wild garlic had already developed and the canopy of leaves on the beech trees above had already closed, but there weren't any flowers on wild garlic. Since I was already in the Eifel, I decided to go to a valley that I have visited several times. Here I found out that spring had not yet arrived in this valley.
Still, I got up and walked along the stream. Soon I noticed some interesting trees. Through the still missing leaves one could see the intertwined branches, which were covered with moss, very well. A rain shower gave the green a particularly strong glow. I especially liked the contrast to the bare trees in the background. Long before the last light disappeared, I had to make my way home again. The "Corona emergency brake" that took effect at this point forced me to be home early.
A whole series with similar images was created. I hope to be able to publish it in the form of a blog post soon.
