The Photo of the Month - October 2020

This month the "Photo of the Month" takes us to Bavaria again. At the beginning of October I did a 1-week solo photo trip there. Of course, the weather is always an issue when taking photos in the landscape. It was probably very typical for this time of year and it rained quite a lot. Overall, this made sure that I photographed a lot of gorges and waterfalls. One morning I was lucky enough to marvel at the rays of the sun on the peaks and to catch them.

The evening before this recording, I was at this spot for the first time. It was completely cloudy, it was gray and it was raining. So absolutely no photo weather. At least not what I was hoping for this place. At least I was able to find out where I was going to take the photo. The weather forecast for the next morning was very promising. So, like every morning, I went to the spot for this morning in time for the first light.

As the sun rose slowly, it first illuminated the sky and the clouds. With every minute, the light on the mountain soon grew more and more. At the same time, a light mist rose over the lake. Due to the now slightly higher sun, the autumn-colored trees also got a little bit of the light. For me, that was exactly the right time for this motif.
