The Black Forest is Germany's highest and largest contiguous low mountain range. In addition to the mountains, it is above all the forests that the Black Forest is known for. Many small rivers and waterfalls offer great motifs for nature lovers. The photo shown here was taken on a photo trip in early summer 2021.
I hiked through this gorge for several hours. The constant companion was the small river that digs further and further into the landscape. On the banks of the river there were steep cliffs in places and in many places great old trees overgrown with moss. I particularly liked this spot because the trees in the background formed a kind of archway. They inevitably draw the viewer's attention to the center of the image.
