The photo of the month was taken again in the forest. The Atlantic hare bell, better known as "bluebells", is an early bloomer and is primarily associated with forests in Great Britain and the Hallerbos in Belgium. But they also occur on the Atlantic coast from Portugal via Spain and France. There are also some smaller occurrences of the rabbit bell in western Germany. Several times I went to different areas of the forest to photograph the rabbit bells when they were in bloom. The flowers form a purple carpet that begins to glow, especially when the sun is low. This together with the stout beeches and the fresh green of the leaves give the whole thing a great atmosphere.
Here is one of the results of those visits.
