Dreary winter in the Rhineland, or would you prefer autumn again?

The Photo of the Month - January 2020

Gray, dreary, rainy and mostly no snow. Unfortunately, that is mostly the reality of the Rhineland winter. At the moment the temperatures are so high that there is no chance of snow. If you see the whole thing positively, you can say it allows you to spend more time at the computer to edit, sort pictures and other things that need to be done.

With the Photo of the Month, I always want to show a picture from the last 30 days. This month I didn’t manage to take a picture, or rather I couldn’t get myself up to it. So today I'm showing a picture from last November.

The picture was taken in the Siebengebirge near Bonn. As you can see from the partly bare trees in the background, the autumn foliage has already exceeded the color highlight. It was a quiet morning with almost no wind. The sky was completely covered with clouds, which gives the scene a kind of "softbox look".
