The Lofoten, an archipelago in Northern Norway, are a true natural wonder. For many travelers to Norway, this area is on the program for hiking tours. The beaches there have a true South Pacific character in summer. In winter, Lofoten is a real Eldorado for landscape photographers. At night, with a little luck, you can marvel at the northern lights and during the day there are snow-covered beaches with mountains in the background.
I especially like "Skagsanden Beach". As with many beaches in Lofoten, the options for foregrounds are endless. Melt water that comes from the mountains forms streams on the beach that change daily. The sand in these watercourses forms insane patterns. This picture was taken on the last morning of the trip. I wanted to be there very early in order to get to the many workshop groups beforehand. Fortunately, it worked. After I took this picture I set out to explore the beach further. When I finally got back that position was occupied by a whole horde of other photographers.
