This month the "Photo of the Month" takes us to the Bavarian Alps. At the end of July we spent a few days in Bavaria relatively spontaneously. On the evening this photo was taken, we set out to explore a meadow landscape. Shortly after we got there, the sun, which was already low, bathed the meadows and huts in a golden light. Only a few moments remained until the sun, some time before sunset, disappeared behind the mountains.

We set out to explore the area further and found this barn, which harmonized almost perfectly with the mountains in the background. At first we moved on because I hoped to find a hut that would "better" fit into the landscape. Then what had to happen happened ... the sky came up and the mountains and the clouds that had formed around the peaks were illuminated in the best light. The only problem was that we didn't hang out at this hut but kept walking.

So I sprinted (as good as that with full photo gear) and went back to this place. Completely out of breath and sweaty, I arrived just in time to take a few more pictures in the last light. Unfortunately the best light show was already over. Even so, there were still some nice colors in the clouds and the mountains.

That was another lesson for me ... be satisfied with what you have and don't always try to look for something "even better"!
