Play of colors in Jasper NP at sunrise

In September we were in the Canadian Rockies, among other places. Unfortunately, the weather was mostly not at its best. That morning, I arrived at this point about 30 minutes before sunrise. Although this place is only a few minutes' drive from Jasper, I had it all to myself. My planned motif was in a different direction. This morning the cloud cover was for once not completely closed and so this wonderful play of colors in the clouds was created. I immediately changed my position by a few meters in order to have a clear view of this panorama. In the course of the sunrise the colors changed from pink, red to orange to yellow. This shot is my favorite of the morning. The mountains, the colors, the reflection and the rising mist over the lake make this scene a spectacular picture.

This photo is the first photo from Canada that I edited. I am curious which pictures I will find on my hard drive in the next few weeks and months. As soon as the other pictures are ready they will be published in the gallery.
