Sunrise on the Ahr

This morning in May I got up at around 3:30 a.m. to be there in time for sunrise. After a short journey I had to climb the "mountain" for about an hour to reach the summit. My goal was originally to take a picture with rocks in the foreground and the sun in the background just rising on the horizon. I did that too ... but I like this shot a lot better. I particularly like how the light green leaves are illuminated from behind.
